Atomic Hick Software is a small 3-man team (only me, myself, and I) not counting cats. We’ve (I’ve) been programming since I was 13 years old and later obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science to increase my skills and hopefully one day become recognized in the field which I’ve loved since childhood. ‘Bloc-Age: Path of the Oracle’ is our 3rd project and I feel will fill a niche that is under expressed but growing in popularity. My 1st project ‘Boom!’ was a perfect starting point to teach myself Visual Basic on the family’s new computer running the powerful Window 3.1 operating system. Admittedly simple and far from perfect, it did get my feet wet in the realm of game development and programming. This also led to my college degree and my 2nd project ‘MoJo’s Reign’. This was the game that I wanted to make back in the early 90’s after play ‘Duke Nukem’ (the original) and started me down the road of game development. It was a labor of love, and I still feel it is the best game of my collection even 13 years after completion. Sadly, the game industry was very different back then and it was very hard to be noticed, and even harder to be allowed to release your products on platforms such as Steam and others. But now with the release of ‘Bloc-Age: Path of the Oracle’ on Steam I feel I may have a chance to make a difference in the gaming industry.
Saved from death by an unlike ally, you take control of an unknown hero in this story driven fast paced action FPS. A darkness is coming, and the Oracle has tasked you to unravel the mysteries surrounding this threat and end it once and for all.
You will travel to every corner of the lands to accomplish your quest and battle hordes of orc, hoblings, dwarves, elves, humans and even some things better left unspoken. Navigate the hub like pseudo-open world to a reach your goals and even explore the lands to find hidden quests filled with action, wealth and fame.
Destroy your opposition as either a Fighter or Mage, each wielding their own unique and powerful arsenal of weapons. As you progress you will find rare and powerful gems which you will use between levels to upgrades your armor, shield, weapons and even yourself.
There will never be a dull moment as you travel the lands of Blocairia in your quest to become the greatest hero ever know, as you must survive 68 different enemy type and destroy 15 unique and deadly bosses. And if you ever become lost, you’ll always be able to fall back on your trusty auto-map. Constantly keeping track of where you’ve been, locked doors, elevators and everything else you’ll need to know to find your way.
Save anywhere? Keypoints? Level Start Only? Our flexible save system lets you choose! The lower number of saves you select the more points you earn at the end of the level. Also, you’ll be able to select the number of saves and difficulty at the beginning of each level!
